Welcome to the WinCustomize Wiki! Here you'll find some of the latest news and notes regarding the ongoing development and expansion of this wiki. This is meant to be a more detailed account of what's going on in the development tracker, as well as what we may have planned for the site in the future. [edit] July, 2007

We're Live!

It's been a crazy-busy time for us here on the Wiki. On July 10th we kicked things off and officially launched the site publicly, posting news to WinCustomize and around the skinning community in general. The response so far has been excellent with a dedicated core group of users really stepping up and taking on the project as their own. This is exactly what I hoped for when I kicked off the project several months ago. I expect the wiki to really take on a life of it's own as we push it more in the community and work to add more great content.

It really is the definitive information resource for Windows Skinning now, no one else even comes close to matching it, and we've only been running for a week.

A recent technical improvement was the addition of the DynamicPageList2 extension for MediaWiki. This allows pages to dynamically list pages that have special tags attached to them. The idea is that if you tag your article as a tutorial, the tutorial page will automatically list it, making indexing and finding good content so much easier.

Also in-progress is a custom skin for the Wiki that will make it match visually with the layout of WinCustomize. DoctorNick, our web dev intern, is working diligently in his spare-time to get it working.
