Stardock DeskScapes is an enhancement to Windows Vista DreamScene that lets users have dynamic, animated wallpapers as their desktop background. DeskScapes supports the new .dream format which supports dynamic contents, triggers, and author information. With version 2.50, now Windows XP (32 bit) users can enjoy what Vista users have had.

What DeskScapes does
DeskScapes allows users of Windows Vista and XP (32 bit) to have dynamic, animated wallpapers on their desktop.
How to use DeskScapes
The Basics
Once installed you can access it by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting "Personalize", and then "Desktop Background". From the drop-down menu select "DeskScapes animated wallpapers". You will now see the .dreams you have installed. To add more just drag any .dreams you have downloaded to this window. To use a .dream as your wallpaper, just select it and the background should change.
Creating Dreams
Making your own animated wallpapers
The simplest way to create your own .dreams is to use DreamMaker from Stardock. You can find tutorials and more information about using DreamMaker and creating your own .dreams on the DreamMaker section.
