[edit] The Basics

You can download DreamMaker directly from Dream.WinCustomize.Com, or if you are an Object Desktop subscriber you can download it using Stardock Central. To make a .dream you will need some type of content which should consist of either a .wmv or .mpg video file. An .mpg file is recommended as it typically uses less CPU than a .wmv. People who make .dreams do so in a variety of ways including recording HD video, rendering 3D scenes with programs such as Maya, and others use applications like Adobe After Effects to create their video files.

Once you have your content ready, you just need to enter some basic information such as the name and description of the .dream, and a thumbnail image. Next, simply add your video file, and then enter your author information. Click "Create .Dream" and you have your .dream. It's now possible to create triggered dreams, which are animated wallpapers that change based on events such as a certain time of day.
