Content Discussion

I've taken a lot of the content out of this page to make it easier to read. I hope you'll agree.
Two things that I think need to happen:

  • Color scheme needs to be changed. Anyone good at this?
  • Some more content should be added beneath the header (Welcome message). But not much. Maybe just links to content.

--DoctorNick 00:40, 15 June 2007 (EDT)

I added some of the content back. I think its important to have content instead of just links. Good formatting of the stuff though, Nick. I think its currently a good blend of the original and new designs. CerebroJD 00:09, 16 June 2007 (EDT)

I changed the color scheme of the Customization programs to green. I think it would be neat if the boxes on the front page could reflect Winky's color scheme: green, yellow, and a hint of orange. Any thoughts? --DoctorNick 23:44, 19 June 2007 (EDT)

I think that instead of just a link to "Recent changes" on the navigation bar, there should be a list of the 5 most recent changes. Maybe it could display a user defined number of most recent changes.--dragonmage

We'd need something like DynamicPageList for that. One issue is that it would mean the cache of the front page would be invalid after every edit. --GreenReaper(talk) 16:19, 11 July 2007 (EDT)

Eh, I don't really feel that's necessary. It's simple enough to click on the link or use the ATOM feed attached to the page. ----DoctorNick(talk) 17:37, 11 July 2007 (EDT)

Could we have a link to the Sandbox on the sidebar? SViz 06:16, 15 July 2007 (EDT)

WCWiki Skin Discussion

If you find any bugs with the WCWiki skin, please note them here with the browser and the browser version you're using, and preferably a screenshot. Thanks! ----DoctorNick(talk) 11:23, 18 July 2007 (EDT)

I think the little footer section at the bottom of the pages looks odd, especially pages where the content is short (see img249.imageshack.us/img249/2774/wcwikifooterdj9.png). Firefox 2.0.0.5. Oh and here it is on IE7: (img508.imageshack.us/img508/4630/wcwikifooterie7wm5.png). --BebiBulma 11:29, 20 July 2007 (EDT)

The font color for the user bar at the top of the screen doesn't match. --PurrBall 22:39, 21 July 2007 (EDT)

Doesn't match what? As far as I know, the intent was to have it different from the blue used for links in general. --GreenReaper(talk) 14:48, 20 July 2007 (EDT)

Skin is horribly broken in FF3.

Yeah, been telling people that for a while. ;-) --GreenReaper(talk) 17:12, 6 April 2008 (EDT)
Then can someone please fix it? It's been broken for a year now (ridiculous). It's fine until you log in, and then the sidebar is out of place and the main content shows up beneath it. --BebiBulma 07:08, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
Well, it shouldn't be anymore - I finally got to login and had a go at the skin. If you clear your cache, do you still experience the problem? --GreenReaper(talk) 02:23, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
I did a ctrl F5 but it still looks the same. :\ link Actually, the only difference I see is that the header image is missing. --BebiBulma 20:48, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

Upload File Error

I tried to upload a .PNG file, and I got this error: "The upload directory (public) is not writable by the webserver." SViz 15:59, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Fixed --Zoomba 20:48, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks! --SViz 07:32, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Search Function Not Working

It's the only way to create a new page and it's not working -- SViz 23:59, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

You can go here and enter the title of the page and create it that way: Category:Tutorials --BebiBulma 07:33, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
I know, but I'm trying to create another User subpage to work on a tutorial series. The only way to do that is to enter User:Username/SubpageName in the search field...unless I'm missing another way? -- SViz 15:58, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
Not that I know of. So now search+ff3 (still) broken. >_< Wait...couldn't you just manually do that in the address bar? --BebiBulma 09:22, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks Bebi! That works. :) --SViz 14:44, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
Or link to it . . . you don't even have to include the full name for subpages, just [[/SubpageName]]. --GreenReaper(talk) 22:29, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
