[edit] What Virtual Desktops Does
Virtual Desktops creates multiple desktops that you can use to put your windows in. For example, you could have Firefox open on desktop 1, Word and Outlook on desktop 2, iTunes on desktop 3, and Stardock Central on desktop 4. You just choose the desktop you want from your taskbar. The items in your taskbar are actually filtered to only show what is on the current desktop. Each desktop can have its own wallpaper.
